Richard S. Vermut Becomes Board Certified in Intellectual Property Law

Rogers Towers is pleased to announce that Richard S. Vermut has received his board certification in intellectual property law from The Florida Bar. Vermut joins 15 of his Rogers Towers colleagues as specialists in their respective practice areas.

Vermut practices exclusively in the area of intellectual property law, including patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret and computer law and related unfair competition matters. His practice includes patent and trademark prosecution, litigation and enforcement, software and on-line service agreements and technology transactions.

He received his bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the University of Florida and graduated first in his class from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad Law Center. He then received his Master of Laws from Georgetown University Law Center. Vermut was named a “Rising Star” by Florida Super Lawyers in 2009 and “Legal Elite” by Florida Trend Magazine in 2010. He currently serves as an adjunct professor of law at the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law and teaches courses on intellectual property licensing and advanced patent law.
