Serving as bond counsel in connection with the issuance of tax-exempt
bonds and notes is a significant part of the firm’s practice. We have
been actively involved in bond financing and related activities for over three
decades and are listed in the Municipal Bond Attorneys Section of The Bond
Buyer's Municipal Marketplace (known as the "Red Book").
We serve as bond counsel for cities, counties, independent
authorities, community development districts and school districts; we also serve
as counsel to investment banks, credit enhancement providers, corporate fiduciaries
and other participants in public finance transactions. We are involved in financing
for public power, hospitals, ports, airports, community development districts,
single-family and multifamily housing projects, and various other types of local
government improvements backed by various sources of revenue. >
Our attorneys have experience in the different
structures for tax-exempt financing, including fixed-rate debt, variable-rate
debt (including commercial paper and auction rate securities), and certificates
of participation. As counsel to the trustee or escrow agent, we represent corporate
fiduciaries in connection with financing institutions.
