Main Biography

Paige Johnston practices in the areas of land use, real estate, regulatory and governmental law.  Ms. Johnston's land use practice includes zoning, concurrency issues, development agreements, vested rights, comprehensive planning and Developments of Regional Impact.  Ms. Johnston has represented developers, lenders,  associations, purchasers of distressed real estate, and individuals in connection with the acquisition, sale and development of real estate. This representation includes extends to due diligence regarding entitlements and compliance with local and state law.

Ms. Johnston represents clients before local and state boards and commissions involving a full array of development applications , condominium and association documents.  She also assists clients in drafting development agreements and other real estate documents in connection with land use and real estate transactions.  In addition, Ms. Johnston represents clients before the Department of Administrative Hearings and in State circuit and appellate court matters involving land use and real estate litigation.  Ms. Johnston represents developers in the creation and turnover of planned communities (residential and commercial condominiums, mixed use communities, and subdivisions) and developers and associations as to statutory compliance and regulatory matters.  Ms. Johnston counsels clients as to code enforcement, municipal liens and lien priority, transportation concurrency, impact fee matters and proposed and pending changes to Florida's growth management legislation.  

Ms. Johnston is a member of Commercial Real Estate Women Jacksonville.  She is also a member of the Environmental and Land Use Section and Real Estate and Probate Section of the Florida Bar, as well as the Environmental and Land Use Section of the Jacksonville Bar Association.
