Rogers Towers is pleased to announce that Flagler Hospital has appointed Ellen Avery-Smith to its Flagler Health Services Board of Directors. Her four-year term goes into effect June 1.
As a shareholder at Rogers Towers, Avery-Smith practices in the areas of land use, environmental and real estate law, including all aspects of real estate development from pre-purchase due diligence to entitlement of land to purchase and development of property. She also represents public and private landowners in obtaining federal, state and local permits associated with wetland impacts from construction projects and with creation of wetland mitigation banks.
Avery-Smith received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida and law degree from Florida State University College of Law. Currently, she serves as vice chairperson of the St. Johns Chamber of Commerce’s Economic Development Council. Additionally, she serves as a Guardian ad Litem, helping to provide a voice for Florida’s abused and neglected children.
