Rogers Towers is pleased to welcome its newest shareholders, M. Scott Thomas and Tito S. Smith, and new associates, Samuel J. Horovitz, Susan N. Novak and Ashley K. Williams, to the firm.

Thomas joins the firm’s St. Augustine office as a member of the Commercial Litigation Department. His practice includes complex commercial matters, contract disputes, business torts, and real estate litigation. He received his bachelor’s degree and law degree from the University of Florida.

Smith, who also joins the firm’s St. Augustine office, has more than 35 years of experience practicing law, primarily in the areas of banking law, real estate, probate and estate planning. A long-time resident of Palatka, Smith will continue to serve St. Johns and Putnam counties. He is a member of the board of directors for Putnam Behavioral Healthcare, a past chairman of the Putnam County Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Committee, and a past president of First Federal Bank of North Florida. Smith received his bachelor’s and law degrees from the University of Florida.

Horovitz joins the firm’s Labor and Employment Department. He attended the University of Florida where he received both his bachelor’s and law degrees. He previously served as a law clerk to the Honorable Marcia Morales Howard, United States District Judge, Middle District of Florida. He also worked as an associate and a summer associate with Rogers Towers before working with Judge Howard.

Novak joins the Litigation Department and will practice in the areas of commercial litigation, torts, and civil trial practice. Also a past summer associate with Rogers Towers, she received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida and her law degree from the University of Florida.

Williams joins the firm as a member of the Litigation Department. Her practice will focus on commercial litigation, asset recovery and civil trial. She is a former law clerk for Putnam County’s Office of the County Attorney and a legal intern for the University of Florida Conservation Clinic. Williams earned a bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, in business administration from Flagler College. She then attained her Master of Business Administration and law degree from the University of Florida.
